The meaning behind the name. There are three.
Why is this coffee beard oil named "OJ Express"?
Surely many of us have sat down to a hearty breakfast that included a cup on orange juice and a mug of coffee. But never in my life would I have thought to combine the two into a single drink. And honestly, the first time I heard about it, I thought it sounded pretty gross. But hey, we should all be willing to try something at least once!! 😬

Italy has the tradition of serving orange or lemon peels alongside your espresso. It is meant to prevent illness, brighten the coffee's flavor and thwart any bitterness.
The Recipe is quite simple and very flexible.
- ice
- orange juice of your choice
- 2 shots of espresso or 4oz of coffee
Fill your glass with ice.
Add orange juice to the half way point.
Top with your choice of coffee.
Garnish to your hearts content.
So what is the verdict?
Another inspiration for this coffee beard oil was a sour ale that my brother-in-law shared with me. Now, I do enjoy a good craft beer. New England IPA's are usually my favorite. But I have never been a sour beer type of guy. But my brother-in-law insisted that I give this beer a try ~ he even gifted me a bottle, so I had no excuse.
This particular sour was part of the Defying Gravity Series produced by D9 Brewing Company based in Cornelius, NC. Dark Side of the Moon is a sour ale brewed with orange and chocolate. 🍊🍫
Opening the bottle, the smell was amazing. And the tasting notes matched. It was a wonderful combo of orange, chocolate, and coffee flavors all mixed together with a bit of tartness. I liked it so much, I bought another one. This was the first sour beer I tried that I truly liked and would definitely buy again.
